Looking Back at 2018
I knew last year I tried to spread the word about my book and my findings, but I didn’t realize what I achieved until, trying to reach the dashboard of my website on a different server, I accidentally googled myself. That’s when I noticed that my outreach was far more extensive that I thought.
I think it all started by displaying the book in the New Title Showcase at the BookExpo that took place in May 2018, at the Javits Center in New York City.
Afterward, Media Connect took a great interest in my book and promoted it in their blog. I didn’t know much about them or their blog, but after reading it I learned it was ranked among Top 50 Book Marketing blogs. I also found out what kind of books and authors they’ve been promoting, and I felt proud they picked my book.

After the summer I had numerous radio interviews about the book on many stations. Regardless of the interviews’ duration, I was happy that the talk show hosts welcomed the type of information included in my book. I’m sorry I don’t have many of those links for my records because those dialogues made me feel good about writing such a book. Here are some links that are still available online:

Health Professional Radio also included my interview among their best of 2018.
The interview with Dr. Jeanette Gallagher, Wellness Radio host, was probably the longest one:
Dr. Jeanette also featured me in her November Newsletter https://us9.campaign-archive.com and she also plans to re-air the interview at the beginning of 2019.
Another lengthy, fruitful interview took place with Health Matters radio host, Dr. Ned Hoke:
Besides the radio interviews, some ideas from the book were featured on media websites that focus on health, medicine, science, and environmental toxins.
Some of the topics had to do with migraine headaches.
From Elite Daily, this article was translated in other languages and appeared on other websites:
Other topics had to do with arthritis:

From Business Insider, the article reached India Breaking News:

and World News in Singapore:
Another topic discussed on Bustle media was the relationship between fatigue and inflammation:
Salonpas featured me as one of their Wellness Warrior:

SheKnows media posted the online interview regarding foreign substances that act like estrogens in our body; these chemical components are encountered in numerous products we use many times a day.

This post was subsequently syndicated to MSN Lifestyle, ANews, and WSTale.
With all this, the word about the book reached some reviewers:

It also reached other individuals interested in healthy living, and this was my biggest hope. Avoiding these substances may be beneficial for many frustrated patients, such as myself, who may understand the limitations of modern medicine but are disappointed because they cannot live a normal life.

As I said many times, I’m hoping that people who suffer from the same ailments I do could try my remedies after discussing with their physicians. If they do improve, they could bring back the improvements to the attention of their doctors. Then, maybe the medical field will not consider what I describe anecdotal anymore and proper studies would be conducted.
Last but not least for 2018, I received the Best Indie Book Award and the Pinnacle Book Achievement Award, both in the non-fiction category.
I’m planning to enter the book in the LA Times Festival of Books that will take place on April 13-14, 2019 at the University of Southern California.
