Improvement in Breast Abnormalities—Another Reassuring Mending
I’m ready for my first update since I published the book and I’m happy to report another positive result regarding the breast abnormalities I talked about in my book: My breast testing turned out to be normal again this year!
For many consecutive years I had multiple types of breast abnormalities with suspicious findings either on the mammogram or the ultrasound and for most of them I needed biopsy or even surgical removal. As I described at length in the book, eliminating estrogen-mimicking chemicals from different routinely used products, improved this health chapter for me. Subsequent to this “cleansing” process, for the following few years the tests were fine and I didn’t have to get biopsies.
After this long break from breast abnormalities, last year there was a questionable finding on the breast MRI and despite the fact that my mammogram and ultrasound were negative, I had yet to get a another biopsy. This was because, given my previous history, I’ll always be considered “high risk” for developing breast cancer and no physician will take the slightest chance. The pathology result revealed nothing serious, but got me thinking again if I was doing or using something I shouldn’t have.
Looking back, I realized that I overlooked a few sources of estrogen-mimicking chemicals—teflon-coated paper plates and coffee cups, pizza box liners, and containers from greasy foods—thinking these item were waxed instead. Because of a change in our schedule, I was exposed to these more than during the previous years. These sources are so commonly used by so many people and in almost every household, and strikingly, most of the time there is not even a suspicion they could be unhealthy!
After making the proper elimination and replacement arrangements, I somewhat hoped the next year’s follow up breast tests would not be showing anything suspicious. When I had my proof with the normal test results I was ecstatic. This was not only because I didn’t have to worry about this “breast abnormalities” health issue for another year, but also because my hypothesis about these estrogen-like chemicals contributing to breast abnormalities (at least in my case), proved true again.
I have to confess I had a hint about this good outcome: my migraines’ frequency further decreased! And I have proved to myself over and over again that estrogen mimicking chemicals have been triggering most of my migraines. Replacing cosmetics, household products, or food items containing such substances has helped tremendously. Eliminating the few overlooked items brought additional blissful relief not only regarding the breast abnormalities, but also my headaches. Talking about foods, I can’t overstress this enough: it’s not just the foodstuff, it’s the way it’s packed, delivered, or presented too.
In social situations I refuse to eat certain foods (which could be otherwise healthy), because of the containers in which they are prepared or served, but I usually try to choose something else or give a more acceptable excuse. Despite this, I am probably labeled as “weird,” or “paranoid,” or “pretentious,” or with other tags—I can read the looks on peoples’ faces, but do you think I care? NOT AT ALL!
The medical community doesn’t have any studies proving my benefits pertaining breast abnormalities related to eliminating estrogen-like substances yet—maybe some day it will. Nevertheless, noticing how these estrogen mimicking chemicals affect me, I felt I wanted to let other affected people know about the great results I’ve achieved so far. Moreover, even for women who have no breast abnormalities at present, I don’t think it’s any harm in implementing some substitutions; they might turn out to play a preventive role. We don’t need these chemicals in our body anyway.
