Pinnacle Book Achievement Award
I’m happy to announce that my book is a winner of the Pinnacle Book Achievement Award—summer 2018, for the category Non-fiction/Health.
I hope my findings will help more readers understand that numerous items we routinely use are unhealthy. I found many medical research articles that point to certain toxicities for the synthetic chemicals incorporated in the products we’re exposed to. Given my personal health journey, I think they have additional consequences which are not ascribed to them yet: autoimmune disorders migraines, and breast abnormalities affect many people.
I’m not that unique, they probably affect others who are unaware of the possible role they play in many ailments. It’s not commonplace, however, in the medical practice today for these components to be taken into account. I’m trying to raise awareness that substances deemed as safe, inert or inactive, are in fact synthetic chemicals that have no place and serve no purpose in the human body; moreover, we cannot properly dispose of them and some of this junk remains within us until we die.
They are considered safe because they’re incorporated in small amounts; the governmental regulating bodies recommend “not to exceed limits,” but when some testing was conducted, for many products the limits were exceeded. Because they’re used almost everywhere—from cosmetics, to foods, to medications (including the pediatric ones), in laundry and cleaning products and numerous other household items—the added amounts from all the sources build up to much bigger doses every day.
Even if not suffering of any medical condition at the present time, I think it’s better to eliminate them from use and replace them. There is enough information at hand to make us suspicious, and at least, to stop regarding the chemicals we’re exposed to as inert or inactive. Fortunately, there are healthy products in every category.
Let’s think for a moment of the tobacco industry. How long did it take for the regulatory agencies to implement the measures in place now? Decades. I for one, don’t want to wait that long, because it may take just that long until a better regulatory framework it’s in place for some of the synthetic chemicals I analyzed.
I hope my findings will inspire and empower readers to take charge of their health and bring the news to the attention of their doctors. If many others notice similar reactions and report them, maybe the medical field would not consider what I describe anecdotal anymore and proper medical studies will be conducted.
